Heavy Process Equipment Manufacturing

ATTOMO manufactures heavy process equipment, including process columns, pressure vessels, reactors, tanks and fabricated assemblies. Supply can follow customer-approved drawings or include engineering within the equipment package, with materials, inspection and delivery responsibilities clearly defined.

Process and equipment approach

Critical-service equipment needs an agreed code, design conditions, material specification, fabrication controls and inspection plan. Describing equipment as critical or high pressure does not establish its approved operating envelope or certification.

Applications and product requirements

Vessels, reactors, mixers and fabricated assemblies may face demanding pressure, temperature, corrosion or mechanical duties. The equipment specification connects these service conditions with the required materials, design calculations, fabrication controls and inspection plan.

Equipment and operating approach

Equipment selection connects the process duty with mechanical design, load cases, agitation or rotating interfaces where applicable, supports and maintainability. Existing equipment replacement also requires tie-in measurements and a review of the original failure or limitation. Fabrication should follow approved drawings and a defined inspection plan.

Process vessels and reactorsShell, heads, nozzles and supports form the equipment envelope. Pressure, temperature, process duty and material selection define the mechanical design.

Scope of supply

Define the right package.

The quotation defines the included equipment, services and battery limits.

  • Specified vessels and process assemblies
  • Agitator and skid interfaces as contracted
  • Fabrication and inspection planning
  • Testing and handover documentation

Materials and configuration

Specify material grade, applicable design code, design pressure and temperature, corrosion allowance, cyclic loads and required examination. Third-party inspection, certification or code stamping must be explicitly agreed and supported by current credentials. Design to a code and authorisation to apply a certification mark are different claims.

Utilities and operation

Utilities depend on the equipment: a heated vessel, vacuum dryer and agitated reactor have different demands. State heating or cooling duties, motor and drive requirements, seal arrangements, connections and the boundary for controls. Pressure relief, protective devices and site integration need assigned design responsibilities.

Project questions

Frequently asked questions

Can a pressure or temperature rating be assumed from a similar vessel?

No. Material, geometry, loads, fabrication and the applicable code determine the design. Provide the full operating and design conditions.

Are motors, gearboxes and seals included with agitated equipment?

Only as stated in the quotation. Define fluid properties, viscosity range, mixing duty, drive arrangement and the supply boundary.

Does code-based design mean the equipment is certified?

Not automatically. Required certification, inspection and stamping must be expressly included and supported by the relevant authorisations.

Pressure vessels, reactors and tanks

ATTOMO reviews pressure vessels, reactors and tanks as distinct equipment duties. A pressure-vessel enquiry needs the pressure and temperature basis, volume, material, design-code requirement and nozzle/interface information. A reactor additionally requires the mixing, heating/cooling and process-responsibility basis. A tank enquiry must identify storage duty, contents, operating conditions and installation requirements.

Supply can follow customer drawings or an agreed engineering scope. Internal components, agitation, supports, insulation, instruments and connected piping are itemised rather than assumed to be included. Material suitability and construction are selected for the actual process medium and mechanical duty.

The quotation identifies the applicable inspection and test plan, material records, fabrication documentation and any third-party involvement. A requested code or inspection requirement is reviewed before acceptance; no code stamp or unrestricted pressure rating is implied.
