Malt Based Distillery Plant
Attomo is the leading manufacturing, turnkey supplier that also manages designing and engineering consultation for the malt distillery plant.
Malt-based distilleries are a type of distillery that use malted grains as the main ingredient in their spirits. Malt is a type of grain, usually barley, that has been soaked in water and allowed to germinate before being dried and ground into a powder. This process helps to release the starches contained within the grain, which can then be fermented into alcohol.
Features of malt distillery plant:
- Malting system: consisting of steeping, germination, kilning, and cooling equipment to convert barley into malt
- Milling system: to grind the malt into a uniform size for use in brewing or distilling
- Mash tun: to mix the malt with hot water to extract sugars and create a liquid called wort
- Lauter tun: to separate the wort from the solids
- Boiling kettle: to boil the wort and add hops to flavor the beer
- Whirlpool: to separate the hops and other solids from the wort
- Fermentation tanks: to allow yeast to ferment the wort into alcohol
- Distillation column: to separate the alcohol from the fermented liquid and increase its alcohol content
- Maturation tanks: to age the distillate in oak barrels to develop flavor
- By-product handling equipment: to separate and process the by-products generated during the malt production process
Applications of a malt distillery plant:
- Production of malt for the brewing industry to make beer and other malt-based beverages
- Production of malt for the distilling industry to make spirits such as whiskey, gin, and rum
- Generation of by-products that can be used as animal feed, such as spent grains
- Production of malt flour for use in baking and food production
- Use of heat and energy generated.
We are end-to-end malt-based distillery plant manufacturers and maintainers.
