Dryer Plant (DDGS)-1

Dryer Plant (DDGS)

Attomo industry is the leading manufacturer, and turnkey supplier and also helps in designing and engineering consultation for various distillery plant.

The drying plant is a distillery offering that is used to dry the DDGS to reduce moisture content. This process involves passing the DDGS through a series of heated chambers, which evaporates the moisture and leaves behind a dry product. The dried DDGS can then be used as an animal feed ingredient or further processed into other products.

Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles (DDGS) is a by-product of the distillery process that is used as an animal feed ingredient. It is made up of the solids that remain after the fermentation and distillation processes, which are then dried to reduce moisture content. DDGS typically contains protein, fat, fibre, minerals and vitamins, making it a valuable feed ingredient for livestock.

  • The grain-based distillery plant uses a dryer to convert wet cake from the decanter and concentrated syrup from evaporators into DDGS, which is then used as cattle feed. This dryer also helps make the plant a zero-effluent discharge plant while providing additional income through the sale of DDGS.
  • By employing a rotating shell with adjustable speed, steam consumption can be drastically reduced compared to air dryers, flash dryers, and spray dryers. Moisture content in the resulting product can be precisely maintained by recycling.
  • The dryer steam can be used at the evaporation plant to decrease the amount of steam needed for distillery operations.
